★ Over the past ten years, Shizuo has gained a lot of control over his infamous temper. It's still present, and he does still lose it, but it takes a lot more to make him snap than it used to. He still has his crazy super strength, and is able to hold his own without having to resonate or transform, however along with the better control on his temper, Shizuo has a bit more control over his strength, meaning he's less afraid of hurting people because he doesn't know his own strength. However, due to the madness wavelength that's lingering around Shibusen, when Shizuo does lose his temper he tends to lose it bad. It's probably a very good thing he's a calmer individual.
★ Shizuo isn't allied to CWC or Shibusen. His alliance is to his friends first and foremost, so he finds himself traveling between Shibusen's base and the CWC depending on where his friends are/where he's needed. Because he respects both Yao and Kid, he's willing to help either of them out when they need an extra hand fighting or defending.
★ Shizuo, as of about four years prior to the TYL!Event, is partnered with Edward Elric. He has had one meister prior to Edward - Mikado Ryuugamine, and was partnered with him for about a year. Shizuo isn't above 'Emergency Resonating', especially with someone he knows and trusts - it was how he first partnered with Ed, and he has been known to temporarily resonate with Mikado after they broke their partnership, and occasionally Kida.
★ While he isn't allied to either, Shizuo's 'home base' is at Shibusen. He apartment shares with Ed, and as Ed is working as a scientist for Shibusen it's more logical to have their home there. Plus, Celty and Kida live in Shibusen. 'Nuff said.
★ Shizuo hasn't really changed much, appearance wise. He's 34 years old now, so obviously he's got some natural aging going on. He still dyes his hair, but doesn't bother about it so much, so sometimes you can see his natural brunet roots. The bartender suits are still around, but he doesn't wear them as often. The suit he came to Death City in is the only one that was a present from his younger brother Kasuka, so he doesn't wear that one anymore and keeps it safe instead. Most of the time, he just wears shirts, and trousers/jeans. Whichever is easier to wear.
★ He isn't quite a Death Scythe; he has 99 souls and is just waiting on that one Witches Soul to seal the deal. Soul collecting really depends on when he and Ed either have the time to go hunting.

★ Celty still is, was and probably always will be, Shizuo's closest friend. She's still partnered to Kida, and Shizuo has a close relationship with both of them. When he gets some spare time, when the two of them aren't running back and forth between Shibusen and CWC, he likes to spend it catching up with Celty, as she still has that very calming and soothing effect on him.
★ Sometimes, Shizuo has to hide milk supplies at Celty's place. Especially if Ed is in a serious anti-milk mood, and Shizuo didn't win the argument, despite throwing things.

★ Apart from Celty, Kida was Shizuo's first friend in Death City. Despite being from the same world, they never knew each other in Ikebukuro. Ten years on, Kida is probably right after Celty in terms of people important to Shizuo here, and they have a very comfortable friendship. It probably helps that there's less of a chance of Shizuo lashing out and hurting people, which means Kida doesn't have to step around Shizuo like he's walking on broken eggshells.
★ A number of years ago, Kida made a joke about being the one to take Shizuo's 'virginity' - not that Shizuo ever confirmed or denied he was a virgin, and still hasn't. Eventually, with the loss of people around them, Kida stopped hiding the fact he has some issues with abandonment and being alone, and he stopped hinting and started outrightly asking. Shizuo was less enthusiastic about Kida's pestering, but he eventually decided to take the same route he took with Haruhi and her bothering him to try resonating - he said 'Fine.' in the hope that Kida would stop asking afterwards. ... It... didn't quite work out as Shizuo planned, and 'once' became 'once a month or so', until over the years they ended up developing a comfortable friends-with-benefits esq. relationship.
★Shizuo knows of, and secretly supports Kida's proper relationship with Mikado and Anri, but he knows that Kida doesn't like being alone, so he has no issue with Kida showing up at his place. Plus, y'know. He makes pancakes in the morning.

★ Edward is Shizuo's meister, as of about four years before Winry Rockbell and Miranda Lotto's reappearances. After spending many years putting off getting a meister due to his own worries, and simply not being able to find someone who could handle and control him in weapon form, partnering with Ed was something of a surprise but not an unwelcome one. Although their first resonance was more out of necessity than mutual agreement, it turned out Ed was quick enough and creative enough to adapt to Shizuo's changing moods in battle, and strong enough to handle the sudden increases in power.
★ Shizuo and Ed got to know each other slightly after the first wave of madness, ten years ago. They weren't especially good friends when Al died, however due to a few mutual acquaintances they ended up forming a better friendship over the years. They have a few similarities that mean Shizuo can somewhat understand, and accept Ed's rather downcast periods following the loss of Winry, Al and Ling - they both have younger brothers, and Shizuo can sympathise with Ed's feelings over the loss of Al. He'd probably feel the same if he ever lost Kasuka, after all. He can draw similarities between Winry and Ed's friendship and his own with Celty; and he'd be just as worried, angry and upset if Celty ever vanished in the way Winry did. Shizuo isn't all tea and sympathy when it comes to Ed's depressive moments though, which is probably a good thing. He's happy to let Ed vent to a point, but he's not afraid of giving him a kick up the backside to get him off his ass and back out there working to make sure no one has to go through the same things he did.
★ They share lodgings in Shibusen. Overall, they make pretty decent house mates, with Shizuo being on hand to make sure Ed doesn't work himself into a coma without eating/sleeping/drinking/etc, and Ed knows how to roll with Shizuo's occasional fits of temper. They do argue about the amount of/lack of milk in the house though.

Eventually, after a few years of ignorance, Shizuo found out that Mikado was actually the creator of The Dollars, and technically his leader. Not that this made Shizuo treat Mikado any differently, he did gain a little more respect for the kid. Since the current timeline, Shizuo's close friendship with Kida has pretty much guaranteed him a close friendship with Mikado.
★ Five years after the first Madness Wave, Shizuo and Mikado successfully resonated - with Mikado's ability to null and void the Madness Wavelength, and Shizuo's control over his temper, he was able to remain focused and together when Mikado was wielding him. However, they didn't have a long partnership - Mikado was aware that he wasn't physically strong enough to really get the best out of Shizuo as a weapon, and at the time Anri was beginning to suffer from the effects of the Madness Wavelength and the remnants of Saika still in her body. The result was the two disbanded as partners, albeit very amiably; Shizuo understood and encouraged Mikado's need to partner with and protect Anri. A few months later, in the sixth year since the Madness Wave, Shizuo and Ed resonated and the rest, as they say, is history.

★ Mikado's weapon/girlfriend, and Kida's girlfriend. Being good friends with Kida means Shizuo and Anri have become friends over the years. Shizuo likes Anri, she's kind hearted despite being a tad emotionally closed off, and she really cares about Kida and Mikado. Shizuo, thanks to the Madness Wave, is now aware that Anri and Saika - aka crazy thing that got a load of people brainwashed and made them attack them whilst telling him how much they (Saika) loved him - share a body, but are two different things. He's wary about Saika, especially as she's rather creeperish towards him, even now, but he doesn't hold it against Anri.
★ Anri is the weapon Shizuo was essentially ousted for. He doesn't bear her any ill will, as he partnered with Ed soon after, and also because he was aware that Saika was beginning to have more and more control over Anri. Shizuo could see Mikado was worried about her, and as Anri is a friend, Shizuo was too.
★ Shizuo DOES KNOW ANRI'S NAME, but it's something of an ongoing joke that he forgets it. After ten years, he doesn't really forget anymore, but he pretends sometimes.

★ Shizuo adores Nanako. She's not the shy little six-year-old he first knew; actually she's pretty badass now, but it doesn't stop Shizuo from still thinking she's adorable. Seeing as he travels between CWC and Shibusen so much, he still makes an effort to see how Nanako's doing whenever he's in CWC. He'd probably drop whatever he was doing to help Nanako if she were in trouble.

★ Shizuo and Roy were in fairly regular contact prior to Winry and Miranda's disappearance. Over the years, given continued correspondence and the benefits of some mutual friends - especially Shizuo's friendship with Hughes - they have a comfortable friendship. Roy's never actually annoyed Shizuo, even when he had poor control of his temper, so he appreciates that.
★ Shizuo knows that Ed and Hughes are very important to Roy, so he understands that when it comes to Ed, Roy's essentially trusting him to watch out for Ed in and off the field. He would do this anyway, but it's doubly important because Roy outrightly asked.
★ Along with Hughes, and probably Dojima if/when Roy drags him along, Shizuo and Roy have been known to meet up for drinks and just talk. Shizuo enjoys the company.

★ A number of years ago, Shizuo actually gave into Haruhi's hinting and agreed to try resonating with her. The results were... not so good. Things got destroyed, Haruhi got disheartened, and Shizuo got worried he'd hurt her somehow. Ironically though, things worked out for the best. Now she knew she couldn't handle Shizuo as a weapon, Haruhi stopped fangirling Shizuo as much and started just... being his friend. It resulted in the two of them becoming a lot closer, and Haruhi is definitely someone Shizuo would drop everything to help.
★ With Haruhi off being all vigilante, Shizuo doesn't get to see her as much. They make an effort to catch up when she's in the area though.

★ Yoko and Shizuo have been friends since before the whole Madness Wave incident started. They share similar tempers, and surprising strength (although Shizuo still wins in terms of power and pure anger) and Yoko never seemed to worried by Shizuo throwing things around on the network so the two hit it off rather easily and formed a good friendship.
★ Their friendship has lasted about ten years now, and despite Yoko's hatred of Shibusen in the current timeline, and Shizuo's continued connections to them, the two still meet up when the two of them are in CWC at the same time and really it's like nothing has changed. Shizuo just knows not to bring up Shibusen around her.

★ Hughes and Shizuo are both friends and drinking buddies - although Hughes mocks Shizuo for the fact he prefers fruity, sweet drinks rather than beer or whiskey - with something of a beneficial information gathering deal on the side. Hughes often asks Shizuo to look into something when he travels to CWC, usually giving him a list of what he's looking for. Of course, the list also contains just as many pointless tangents as important topics, and it took Shizuo a while before he learned how to worked out what on the list was pointless and what was important.
★ They have the weirdest conversations ever, and seem to be completely serious about them, much to most peoples confusion.

★ [STILL IN PLANNING] Shizuo has never met Winry Rockbell, but he's heard a lot about her from Ed. Enough to know that she's especially important to Ed, at least. In a way, Shizuo can kind of compare Ed and Winry's relationship with his own with Celty (ignoring any romantic implications Ed and Winry may have), so he understands the sort of importance shehas had to Ed.

★ Shizuo's relationship with Yao is something of a professional business one. He respects Yao well enough, and as he has friends in both CWC and Shibusen, he made the offer to give Yao a way of contacting him if he needs any help fighting/defending... anything really.

★ Rin is something like Shizuo's personal cheer-leading pep squad. A large part of Shizuo's newfound control over his temper comes from Rin's help; when they first met, not too long after the first Madness Wavelength, Rin was subjected to one of Shizuo's infamous fits of temper. Rather than running away screaming, she turned around and told him to calm the hell down. While Shizuo has people who can roll with his temper, he's never had someone who's tried to work out why he loses his temper so easily. Rin keeps encouraging him to work out why he gets annoyed so easily, and to take steps towards calming himself down.
★ Rin's pep talks had minimal effect for a while, until Shizuo ended up in a situation where it boiled down to 'lose my temper and hurt Rin' or 'calm the fuck down'. It took a lot of effort, and a wall took the brunt of the rage, but he managed to calm himself down enough to think clearly and not hurt Rin. From there on out, it was somewhat easier to control himself now he knew what he needed to do, even if he didn't always fully succeed.

★ Hope is Rin's weapon. Hope and Shizuo had spoken a couple of times before the first Madness Wavelength, and Hope was always rather frightened of Shizuo's temper and what happened when he lost it. Shizuo took a bit of a Nanako approach to Hope; he was a pretty sweet kid, and Shizuo always had a bit of a soft spot for people like Hope, even though they weren't especially close.
★ Eventually, they sort of met in the middle - Hope became less afraid of Shizuo, and Shizuo began to put a lid on the explosive temper than frightened Hope in the first place. This let the two of them actually get to know each other a better, and they're quite friendly now.

★ Rin's pep talks had minimal effect for a while, until Shizuo ended up in a situation where it boiled down to 'lose my temper and hurt Rin' or 'calm the fuck down'. It took a lot of effort, and a wall took the brunt of the rage, but he managed to calm himself down enough to think clearly and not hurt Rin. From there on out, it was somewhat easier to control himself now he knew what he needed to do, even if he didn't always fully succeed.

HOPE ESTHEIM
★ Hope is Rin's weapon. Hope and Shizuo had spoken a couple of times before the first Madness Wavelength, and Hope was always rather frightened of Shizuo's temper and what happened when he lost it. Shizuo took a bit of a Nanako approach to Hope; he was a pretty sweet kid, and Shizuo always had a bit of a soft spot for people like Hope, even though they weren't especially close.
★ Eventually, they sort of met in the middle - Hope became less afraid of Shizuo, and Shizuo began to put a lid on the explosive temper than frightened Hope in the first place. This let the two of them actually get to know each other a better, and they're quite friendly now.
